The heart of The Salvation Army in Haiti is centered around the Corps. Across the small island nation are over 60 Corps and outposts with over 5,000 senior soldiers and 3,000 junior soldiers. It is the largest Salvation Army in the Southern part of the Western Hemisphere.
Majors Ron and Carol Busroe were appointed to the Haiti Recovery Command in September 2010. The Busroe’s served as Divisional leaders in the Haiti division for six years (2001-2007). With a passion for God’s word, a love for people and a vision for service, Ron and Carol were the ideal choice to lead the Army’s reconstruction and development team in Haiti following the devastating earthquake on 12 January 2010.
